Spell to Read 2015

Spell to Read

An adult spelling bee to support Reading Camp was held Thursday, November 5 at 5:30 at Lexington’s Christ Church Cathedral. The event raised funds for Reading Camp, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing childhood illiteracy throughout Kentucky.

What is Spell to Read?

Unlike spelling bees of your youth, Spell to Read is a spelling bee for adults that offers an opportunity to compete as a team, complete with white boards and the use of “saves” to move your team forward or to keep your competition at bay.  This novel event boosts camaraderie among co-workers and friends while raising awareness of the problem of childhood illiteracy in our community and Reading Camp’s efforts to address the issue.

How can you support Spell to Read?
